This page describes the services currently offered through the Gauhati University Services Portal at services.gauhati.ac.in. It is updated as services are added. Fee and processing-time information for a paid service is shown to you when you apply for it, after signing in; it is not published on this page.
Email Services
Processing of a request for a University email account for faculty, staff and research scholars, including supervisor endorsement and administrative provisioning.

Document Request
Processing and issuance of official Gauhati University documents. Currently this service covers pass certificates, of one of the following types:
- Original Pass Certificate
- Provisional Pass Certificate
- Duplicate Pass Certificate
Additional document types may be added to this service over time; each will be listed here when introduced.
The service includes identity verification via DigiLocker e-KYC, staff verification of your submitted details and documents, and generation of the requested document. Before paying the applicable fee, you will be asked to confirm that you have read and agree to the Terms & Conditions and the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
- How to verify a document: anyone — not only the applicant — can verify a document issued through this service, free of charge, at verify.gauhati.ac.in, either by scanning the QR code printed on it or by entering the Certificate Number and Verification ID printed on it.

Vehicle Pass, Internal Requisition, and any further service the University adds to this portal are listed on the portal’s home page. Details for each will be added to this page when that service is launched; until then, no request can be submitted for it.
